How iVIA works

One pass grades color, length and defects together — from loading a raw sample to tracking results across every batch.

From sample to grade in four steps

No sorting, no special prep — pour the sample and iVIA does the rest.

  1. Hands pouring a produce sample from a bag into the iVIA sample tray.
Load the samplePour a sample straight into the tray — no sorting, no special prep.
  2. A produce sample passing under the iVIA imaging bar as it is scanned.
iVIA images itOne pass under the imaging bar captures the whole sample at once.
  3. The iVIA screen showing a raw sample on the left and detected defects highlighted on the right, with a hand resting on the sample tray.
See the gradeColor, length and defects are graded together, with detections you can see and review.
  4. The IntelliScience portal charting inspection counts over more than a year of graded batches, at a glance.
Track over timeEvery graded sample flows to the portal, so trends across batches, shifts and plants are there when you need them.

What iVIA grades

Everything is measured in the same pass, so nothing is judged in isolation.

Color grading

Where the manual way falls short

Read by eye, color drifts between technicians and between shifts, and single-purpose graders judge it in isolation from the rest of the sample.

How iVIA does it

iVIA is the QA-lab standard for color — objective, repeatable grading your team trusts on every batch, in the same pass as everything else.

Length grading

Where the manual way falls short

Length is usually eyeballed or hand-measured on a handful of pieces — slow, sampled thin, and inconsistent from bench to bench.

How iVIA does it

iVIA measures length automatically across the whole sample, in-tray or over the conveyor, with proven and repeatable accuracy.

Defect visibility

Where the manual way falls short

When color, length and quality are checked in separate manual steps, defects are easy to miss and hard to review after the fact.

How iVIA does it

iVIA locates and classifies defects in the same pass as color and length, so nothing is judged in isolation and every call is reviewable.

Mixed vegetable composition

Where the manual way falls short

Blend ratios are typically estimated by hand-counting or weighing a scoop — laborious, approximate, and slow to feed back to the line.

How iVIA does it

iVIA reports the live percentage of each vegetable in the blend automatically — no counting, no weighing.

Every iVIA connects to the portal

Every sample an iVIA grades flows to the IntelliScience portal — giving you a global view of what’s running through your plants, and the assurance that every line, in every plant, stays consistent with your quality standards.

  • Every iVIA, connected

All of your iVIA units report to one portal, automatically.

  • A global view

See what’s going through every plant, live and in one place.

  • Consistent with your standards

Confirm every line is grading to the same standard, plant to plant.
